Contest Rules
Eligibility
The contest is open to any photographer in the world, amateur or professional, who is at least 18 years of age. Only original photos of helicopters or tiltrotors taken by the entrant within the past 18 months (January 2023 to present) will be considered. You may enter work in any and all categories. Incomplete entry forms, such as those without telephone numbers, will be disqualified.
Photos will only appear in the online gallery after being approved by a photo contest administrator. Vertical Magazine reserves the right to disqualify any photos that it deems irrelevant or inappropriate, or which appear to show unsafe operating practices. Entrants who supply incomplete descriptions may be asked for additional information before their photos are added to the competition.
Preparing Your Entries
- Only high-resolution digital files will be accepted. Images must be 300DPI and a minimum of 8 x 10 inches in size.
- Digital images may be submitted in .jpg or .jpeg format.
- Uploaded images should be 30MB and under in size. If there are issues uploading, please check the file size, format, or contact us.
- Submissions will not be accepted via any other means.
Notification: All winners will be notified by email or phone. The results will be published in the December/January issue of Vertical Magazine. Non-winning entrants will not be individually notified of the results. Entrants grant Vertical Magazine the right to publish their photos in the December-January issue of Vertical Magazine, and for use in conjunction with promotion of the Vertical Photo Contest.
